Paid Graduate Intern: Intervention Tutor (Primary)
Having initially created a successful temporary team of Intervention Tutors in January 2021 at Cirencester Deer Park School, we are seeking to recruit a new temporary Graduate Intern as an Intervention Tutor to work and learn alongside our teachers and pupils across our three primary schools, Chesterton, Kemble and Siddington, from 5 September 2022 to 21 July 2023 during school term time, plus our 5 Inset Days. The intervention tutor deployed across our primary schools will work more broadly to support phonics and reading as well as maths. A full induction and initial training programme will be provided for the successful candidate in July 2022, prior to the end of the summer term.
We recognise it can be hard for some graduates to find the right employment at the present time and we are therefore offering you the opportunity to join the team within the Corinium Education Trust as a temporary intern. We are specifically looking to recruit a recent graduate with a broad education background, but central to the role will be the ability to communicate and share independent learning skills. This is a reciprocal proposition which will benefit both our primary school pupils and the successful applicant. The successful applicant will work flexibly across our primary schools and online for around 25 hours a week. The successful postholder will also require their own transport to travel between the primary schools.
The Corinium Education Trust is committed to providing outstanding education and developing our staff. Further information about the Trust and all schools within it can be found on our websites. A letter to applicants, job description and person specification for this 'Graduate Internship - Intervention Tutor (Primary)' and an application form are all available via Vacancies. Interested applicants are welcome to contact Allison Boucher, Head's PA, with any questions about this temporary role.
Completed application forms should reach the school no later than 9am on Monday 11 July 2022 and interviews are provisionally set to take place on Thursday 14 July 2022. We are committed to the safeguarding of our pupils and employment is subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and receipt of satisfactory references.
